The article investigates the current technological landscape of video surveillance systems and evaluates their key architectural models, performance characteristics, and limitations. The research focuses on three primary categories of solutions — traditional, cloud-based, and AI-driven systems — and compares them in terms of scalability, analytical accuracy, processing speed, and cybersecurity. The analysis demonstrates that traditional CCTV systems remain reliable but lack flexibility and analytical capacity, while cloud platforms provide enhanced accessibility but depend heavily on network stability
