Annotatsiya
Acute mesenteric ischemia (OMI) is a severe life-threatening condition that occurs due to a sudden disruption of the intestinal blood supply. The progression of the ischemic process can lead to necrosis of the intestinal wall, peritonitis, sepsis, multiple organ failure and death. Despite improvements in computed tomography diagnostics, endovascular technologies, and intensive care, OMI remains a highly lethal disease. The main forms of the disease are arterial embolism, arterial thrombosis, nonocclusive mesenteric ischemia and mesenteric venous thrombosis.
