The article analyzes the concept of "time" in the Karakalpak folklore picture of the world. Time, like space, are universal categories of being, with the help of which a person perceives the world around him and creates a system of knowledge about the world. As a result, it is easy to explain the undying interest in the representation of the concept of "time" in the folklore text.
