The article explores the problems of prophecy, filled media pages with newly appeared prophets, which is an element of spiritual bankruptcy of public life. The subject of the research is a theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of prophets of world religions, in particular, the role of prophets in the formation of religious ideology, worldview of the individual, idealization for the morality of believers.
