This article focuses on the problems of socio-cultural and spiritual and moral choice of military personnel. It presents an analysis of the cultural and moral values ​​expressed in the works of a number of Eastern and Western scientists, using the principle of historicity regarding the increase in the moral level of military personnel who defend the Motherland and its protective shell, considered a pressing issue of our time, and views related to moral choice on this basis. Emphasis is also placed on aspects related to intelligence, creativity and innovative thinking, which are considered components of cultural-spiritual views.
