The article presents a comparative analysis of student groups and associations developing in a university environment, highlights the principles of interaction in a team, components of team effectiveness and stages of their development, and also shows the role of the leader and characterizes the interaction between the individual and the team. The article also shows the interaction of the author with groups of students in the framework of extracurricular formative activities.
