A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SURGICAL PROCEDURES PERFORMED IN PATIENTS WITH NODULAR GOITRE

Annotatsiya

The article presents a comparative analysis of surgical practice performed in patients with nodular goiter and analyzes iodine deficiency and the period of iodine supply by year. In conditions of iodine deficiency, men had an increased incidence of nodular thyroid cancer which amounted to 13.1% compared with 5.9% during the period of satisfactory iodine supply. In conditions of iodine deficiency in women, the incidence of nodular thyroid cancer increased by 8.49%, and during the period when iodine supply was satisfactory, this figure was 3.93%. The rejuvenation of thyroid cancer was more pronounced in patients aged 16-30 years in conditions of iodine deficiency.
