This scientific article briefly describes the socio-philosophical views of Central Asian thinkers on enlightenment as a historical source: genesis, evolution, having methodological significance in the formation and development of an enlightened society in New Uzbekistan, and also examines their historical significance and role. Building an enlightened society requires work on material and spiritual values, passed down from ancestors to generations as a historical heritage, and using them as a solid foundation. After all, the stronger the foundation, the more durable the building built on it.
