This article explores the formation, development, and current significance of distance education systems worldwide. It analyzes the advantages, challenges, and technological foundations of distance learning, along with the experiences of various countries. Furthermore, it highlights the prospects for the development of distance education in Uzbekistan, existing challenges, and possible solutions.
