This article analyzes the emergence of Kharijism as one of the earliest destructive political-theological movements in Islamic history, its ideological foundations, and its connection with contemporary extremist and takfiri movements. The study examines how the doctrines of early Kharijites such as takfir, rebellion against legitimate authority, justification of violence, and superficial interpretation of religious texts have reappeared in modern radical organizations. The article also highlights the scholarly responses of Ahl al-Sunnah scholars against such ideologies and emphasizes the importance of developing ideological immunity among youth.
