Annotatsiya

The article examines the process of shaping Gustave Flaubert's artistic worldview based on the material of his early works. The features of the writer's aesthetic pursuits, the influence of romantic tradition on the formation of his artistic method, and the author's gradual transition to a realistic type of depiction of reality are investigated. The works "Memoirs of a Madman," "November," and the early edition of the novel "Education of Feelings" are analyzed, in which the characteristic features of Flober's future poetics are manifested: psychologism, attention to the internal conflict of the individual, the desire for objectivity in artistic depiction, and increased demands on style. It is concluded that the early period of the writer's work was the most important stage in the formation of his aesthetic system.
