Annotatsiya

This article provides a comparative linguistic and literary analysis of the works of the prominent contemporary Italian author Elena Ferrante ("The Neapolitan Quartet") and examples of Uzbek prose (Said Ahmad, Isajon Sulton, and others). The main objective of the research is to uncover the formation, lexical-semantic features, and socio-psychological transformation of the "woman" and "family" concepts within two distinct cultural-linguistic spheres. The analysis reveals that while Ferrante's works emphasize the female personality's quest for liberation from a patriarchal environment, characterized by "rebellious" lexis and individualism, Uzbek prose predominantly presents the "family" concept through stable linguistic codes such as "sanctity," "patience," and "ancestral heritage."
