In the context of digital transformation and growing market competition, the organization of project teams becomes a strategically important factor in the effectiveness of an IT company. This article explores the reasons why the choice of a project team management method affects not only the success of individual projects but also the overall business performance. A comparative analysis of key approaches (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Hybrid) is presented based on essential criteria such as flexibility, team structure, and project applicability. The study highlights the relationship between the chosen method and business outcomes, including time-to-market, adaptability, team engagement, and scalability. The article concludes with practical recommendations for selecting the most appropriate method based on the organization’s maturity, project characteristics, and strategic objectives. The findings may be useful to both practitioners in IT project management and researchers in the field of organizational efficiency.
