This paper examines the legal status of an animated film as a specific object of copyright within the context of the digitalization of the creative economy. The author conducts a comprehensive analysis of the external and internal structure of an animated work, substantiating its qualification not only as an audiovisual work but also as a "complex object" of intellectual property. Particular attention is given to identifying gaps in the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author presents a reasoned argument that existing mechanisms are insufficient to regulate modern market realities. Based on the analysis of law enforcement practice and foreign experience, the study substantiates the necessity of imperatively consolidating the legal regime of a "complex object" at the legislative level to ensure the stability of civil turnover and protect investments in the animation industry.
