The two-dimensional non-stationary problem of the incidence of a plane step compression wave on cylindrical and spherical cavities in the soil is one of the topical problems in the field of mechanics of deformable solids. The main goal of such studies is to study the propagation of wave processes in soil masses and their interaction with local inhomogeneities, such as cavities or voids.
