This article examines the role of dialogue in Uzbek tales, highlighting its significance in character development and narrative progression. It explores how conversations reflect the rich oral tradition of storytelling, revealing characters' values, beliefs, and social roles. The integration of proverbs and sayings provides moral guidance and cultural wisdom, enriching the narrative and allowing characters to express their identities. Through examples from tales like "Alpomish," the article illustrates how dialogue emphasizes themes of bravery, loyalty, and community, reflecting societal values. The use of regional dialects adds authenticity, grounding characters in their cultural contexts and enhancing audience engagement. Overall, the article underscores the importance of dialogue as a vital narrative device that preserves cultural heritage and fosters connections across generations.
