This article discusses the impact of cesarean section on uterine scar formation and its implications for subsequent pregnancies and births. The authors emphasize the complexities associated with scar tissue, such as the risk of uterine rupture, the need for repeated cesarean sections, and the potential long-term consequences for women's health, including the impact on fertility. Current approaches to scar assessment using new imaging techniques and biomarkers are explored, as well as the implementation of individualized pregnancy management programs that take into account the unique characteristics of each patient. New surgical techniques for scar correction aimed at minimizing complications and improving rehabilitation are also reviewed. The importance of a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition and physical activity, for the condition of the uterine scar, is emphasized. The article concludes with the conclusion that further research in this area is needed, which may significantly improve clinical outcomes for women undergoing cesarean section.
