Annotatsiya

A new phenomenon has been discovered in the liver of mammals: extrusion of the granular component of the nucleolus into the cytoplasm of hepatocytes, which is stimulated both by drugs for experimental toxic hepatitis and by partial resection of the liver. It is assumed that extrusion of GC from the nucleolus promotes enhanced protein synthesis by liver cells and, therefore, may have a significant role in the regenerative processes of the liver, and possibly the whole organism.
