One of the congenital defects occurring among newborns is the displacement of abdominal organs into the chest cavity through a diaphragmatic hernia. This defective development is scientifically termed congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) and occurs in 1 out of every 2,000-2,500 newborns [1,2]. The pathological condition in this congenital defect begins while the fetus is still in the uterus, with the movement of abdominal organs towards the chest cavity through the hernia opening in the diaphragm.
