Annotatsiya

The study of communicative sentence structure focuses on how information is organized within a sentence through theme and rheme components. This article provides a comparative overview of how communicative structures function in English and Uzbek languages. While English tends to express information structure through fixed word order and intonation, Uzbek relies more on flexible syntax and contextual cues. The research employs a descriptive and comparative approach, drawing upon functional grammar, pragmatic analysis, and existing Uzbek linguistic studies. Findings demonstrate that both languages organize information hierarchically but differ in the means of highlighting the communicative center. The study contributes to the broader understanding of information structure, translation equivalence, and pedagogical implications for teaching English to Uzbek learners.
