This article explores the development and role of the Arabic language in the scientific and cultural life of Transoxiana during the late 14th and early 15th centuries. It analyzes the stages of Arabic linguistic evolution in the region and the contributions of prominent scholars to its advancement. The study examines the significance of Arabic grammar, particularly the sciences of nahw and sarf, in the madrasa education system and their influence on intellectual progress. Special attention is given to the works of renowned scholars such as Mahmud al-Zamakhshari, Abdurrahman Jami, Sa’d al-Din al-Taftazani, Sa’id Sharif Jurjani, Qazizada al-Rumi, and Ali Qushji, who made substantial contributions to Arabic grammar, rhetoric, logic, and Qur’anic exegesis. The article also highlights the activities of scholarly centers and madrasas in cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Herat during the Timurid era, where Arabic served as the principal language of Islamic sciences, including jurisprudence, hadith, tafsir, logic, astronomy, and medicine.
