Annotatsiya

Ferritin is a protein that stores up to 23% of iron (Fe) ions by dry mass, and was isolated by the French scientist Louffberger from the tissue of the spleen of horses. Protein ferritin is currently used as a comprehensive diagnostic tool in all areas of medicine. The first function of this protein in the human body was a depot for this iron ion, and it is now used as a diagnostic tool that is important in hemostasis, inflammatory processes, oncology and practical medicine. This article presents analytical information on the mechanisms of action and clinical significance of ferritin protein.
