Anatomy is the fundamental basis of surgery and traumatology, playing a critical role in all stages of patient care. This article reviews the impact of anatomical knowledge on the planning, execution, and assessment of surgical interventions, as well as on the provision of emergency trauma care. Anatomical variations that can significantly affect clinical outcomes are analyzed in detail, and the importance of an individual approach to each patient is emphasized. Modern technologies such as 3D visualization and virtual reality that optimize learning and improve surgical training are discussed. The article also includes data from recent studies that show how anatomical knowledge contributes to increased surgical success and decreased complications, thus confirming the invaluable role of anatomy in the field of medicine.
