Annotatsiya

The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of infrared lasers (Nd:YAG and Er:YAG) and photodynamic therapy in the treatment of post-burn scars of the face and neck in children. The main group consisted of 78 patients who received combined treatment using these technologies, while 30 patients formed the control group. Objective assessment methods included ultrasound examination, fluorescence diagnostics, the Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS), the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS), and laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF). The results demonstrated a significant reduction in scar thickness and vascularization, improvement in tissue texture and elasticity, normalization of microcirculation, and a decrease in discomfort symptoms. These findings support the use of this approach as an effective and safe treatment for children with post-burn scars in aesthetically important areas.
