Annotatsiya

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of cases of tic hyperkinesias in children, which is accompanied by a growing prevalence of neurocognitive disorders. Tics, including motor and vocal manifestations, are often associated with attention deficits, memory impairments, executive dysfunction, and learning difficulties. The aim of this study is to investigate the prevalence, structure, and clinical features of neurocognitive disorders in children with tic hyperkinesias. Medical data from 185 patients aged 6 to 14 years, observed over a five-year period (2020–2023), were analyzed. Cognitive function was assessed using standard neuropsychological tools. A strong correlation was found between the severity of tics and the extent of cognitive impairments. The results highlight the importance of early diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach in the management of such children.
