Annotatsiya

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most widespread viral infections globally, with a particularly high prevalence among the reproductive-age population. Approximately 99% of cervical cancer cases are linked to HPV infection [8]. In 2012, an estimated 528,000 new cases were reported worldwide. While most HPV infections resolve spontaneously, persistent infection with oncogenic or high-risk types can lead to cancers of the oropharyngeal and anogenital regions [5]. Global statistics indicate that roughly 11–12% of women aged 15–49 may be infected with HPV [2]. Furthermore, some studies suggest that the prevalence among sexually active young women can reach 20–30% [4]. These figures highlight the widespread nature of HPV and its status as a significant epidemiological challenge.
