Annotatsiya

Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is one of the most common problems in gynecological practice and a frequent reason for medical consultation among women of reproductive age. Hormonal imbalance plays a key role in the pathogenesis of AUB, leading to нарушения in the regulation of the menstrual cycle and structural changes in the endometrium. The aim of this study is to analyze the role of hormonal imbalance in the development of abnormal uterine bleeding based on contemporary scientific data and clinical observations. The materials and methods included a review of scientific literature as well as the generalization of clinical data from gynecological practice. The results showed that the key mechanism in the development of AUB is an imbalance between estrogen and progesterone. Hyperestrogenism combined with progesterone deficiency leads to excessive proliferation of the endometrium, its instability, and subsequent irregular shedding. Additional factors include disturbances in the hypothalamic–pituitary–ovarian axis, as well as endocrine disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome and thyroid diseases. It has been established that hormonal imbalance is the leading factor in the development of AUB in women of reproductive age, especially in anovulatory cycles. The practical significance of the study lies in emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis of hormonal disorders and the use of individualized therapeutic approaches.
