This article examines the Jadid movement that emerged in Turkestan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and the life and literary activity of its prominent representative, Abdulhamid Cho‘lpon. The study analyzes the origins of Jadidism, its educational and reformist ideas, and its role in the process of national awakening. Particular attention is given to Cho‘lpon’s literary heritage, journalistic work, theatrical activities, translations, and socio-political views. The article highlights his contribution to the development of modern Uzbek literature and his advocacy of national freedom and spiritual renewal.
