In recent years, emotional intelligence (EI) has gained recognition as a crucial factor in students’ academic success and personal development. Defined as the ability to understand, manage, and express emotions effectively, EI influences communication, decision-making, and interpersonal relationships. Pedagogy, as the science and art of teaching, plays a vital role in fostering these skills within educational settings. By incorporating strategies that promote empathy, reflection, and collaboration, teachers can nurture students’ emotional growth alongside cognitive abilities. This paper explores the role of pedagogy in developing emotional intelligence and its importance for holistic student development in the 21st century.
