This article examines the role and capabilities of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI)-based assistants in school mathematics teaching. The study analyses the application of AI tools in individual learning, homework support, teacher methodology and problem-based learning. The article presents pedagogical foundations, practical examples, potential risks and recommendations.
