Annotatsiya

Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterine cavity and is associated with pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, and infertility. In Uzbekistan, this condition remains an important reproductive health issue among women. The aim of this study was to analyze current approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis in women of reproductive age. The study included a review of scientific literature and clinical observations. The prevalence of endometriosis among reproductive-age women is estimated at 7–12%, while among infertile patients it reaches 20–35%. More than 60% of cases are diagnosed at advanced stages. The main diagnostic methods are transvaginal ultrasound and laparoscopy, whereas MRI remains limited in availability. Treatment primarily involves hormonal therapy and laparoscopic surgery, with combined approaches reducing recurrence rates by 30–40%. The practical significance of the study lies in improving diagnostic and treatment strategies to preserve women's reproductive health.
