Annotatsiya

This article examines the methodological foundations of Hanafi jurisprudence in understanding and interpreting Shariʿi texts, highlighting the intellectual principles that have made the Hanafi school one of the most influential and enduring traditions within Sunni Islamic law. The study explores the legal methodology developed by Imam Abū Ḥanīfah and his followers, focusing on the mechanisms through which scriptural sources are analyzed, interpreted, and applied to changing social realities. By employing a historical and analytical approach, the research investigates the role of the Qur’an, Sunnah, consensus (ijmāʿ), analogical reasoning (qiyās), juristic preference (istiḥsān), and customary practice (ʿurf) in the formulation of Hanafi legal rulings.
