Choledocholithiasis complicated by obstructive jaundice remains one of the most challenging conditions in emergency abdominal surgery, associated with a high risk of mortality and postoperative complications. The choice of an optimal biliary decompression strategy requires an individualized approach that takes into account the patient’s clinical status and the technical capabilities of the institution.
