Annotatsiya
This article comprehensively examines the theoretical and practical aspects of modernizing the healthcare system for patients with infectious diseases based on the Industry 4.0 concept. The author develops and validates a multi-level conceptual model of an intelligent information system integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and distributed Big Data analytical platforms. Through extensive mathematical modeling, the study demonstrates the high clinical, social, and economic effectiveness of intelligent triage systems and proactive patient routing. The implementation of the proposed approaches significantly reduces the time required for diagnostic verification, optimizes the utilization of limited hospital resources, including intensive care unit (ICU) beds and mechanical ventilators, and facilitates the transition from reactive epidemic response to predictive and proactive management of biological risks. The findings highlight the potential of advanced digital technologies to improve healthcare quality, strengthen epidemiological surveillance, and enhance the resilience of healthcare systems in the face of infectious disease threats.
