This article analyzes the epidemiological, etiological, and clinical aspects of breast cancer and cervical cancer, which are among the common oncological diseases affecting women, their potential interrelationship, and the organization of medical and nursing care for oncology patients. Breast cancer is one of the most common malignancies among women, whereas cervical cancer is primarily associated with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and is, in many cases, a preventable malignant disease. The article examines the etiology and risk factors of both diseases, opportunities for screening and early diagnosis, treatment principles, and their impact on patients’ quality of life. Particular attention is given to the role of nurses in referring patients for screening, preparing patients for diagnostic procedures, monitoring symptoms during treatment, providing psychological support, promoting healthy lifestyles, and participating in rehabilitation. A review of contemporary literature indicates that nurse-led education, counseling, symptom management, and coordination of care can contribute to improving patients’ self-management skills and quality of life. The relationship between the two diseases is considered not as a direct causal relationship, but in terms of shared risk factors, reproductive and hormonal factors, immune status, and associations with HPV reported in some studies.
