This article examines the economic efficiency between agricultural producers and processing enterprises in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Despite the region's agricultural potential, the lack of integration between the production and processing sectors results in value chain inefficiencies, post-harvest losses, and underutilization of processing capacity. Using data-driven analysis, the study highlights the value addition potential of processing agricultural products and identifies the main barriers to efficiency, including fragmented supply chains, outdated infrastructure, and weak institutional coordination. Policy measures such as contract farming, agro-industrial clustering, and public-private partnerships are proposed to enhance productivity and profitability. The findings suggest that improved coordination can significantly boost rural incomes, reduce waste, and support sustainable economic development in arid regions like Karakalpakstan..
