This article examines the concept and essence of sustainable development and ESG criteria, describes the main areas of activity of Public Joint-Stock Company “Sberbank of Russia“ as an important financial institution. Further, the article examines an example of studying the Policy of PJSC “Sberbank of Russia” in the field of social and environmental responsibility, corporate governance and sustainable development by master's students within the framework of the academic discipline "Finance of sustainable development". At the end of the article, general conclusions are given.
