Annotatsiya

The article examines substantivation as one of the methods of morphological-syntactic derivation in a comparative aspect based on the material of the Russian and Karakalpak languages. The theoretical foundations of this phenomenon are analyzed, full and partial substantivation are distinguished, and productive models of the transition of words of various parts of speech into the category of nouns are described. The results of the comparative analysis contribute to the typological theory of conversion and word formation.
