Annotatsiya

In this scientific work, the institution of the suspect in criminal proceedings, their legal status, and procedural aspects related to the involvement of an individual as a suspect are examined. Particular attention is paid to the issues of detaining a suspect, the grounds, and procedures for assigning this status, as well as the guarantees for protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the individual at this stage of criminal proceedings. The problems arising in the practice of applying norms regulating the status of a suspect are analyzed, and solutions are proposed. The work aims to improve legislation and law enforcement practices to ensure a balance between the state's interests in combating crime and the protection of individual rights.
