Vocabulary retention is a core challenge in English language learning. This article examines how visual content—such as images, videos, and infographics—supports vocabulary acquisition by enhancing memory and contextual understanding. Grounded in cognitive theories like Dual Coding and Multimedia Learning, the study highlights how visuals improve both short-term recall and long-term retention. Practical examples and research findings reveal that integrating visual aids into instruction significantly benefits learners across proficiency levels.
