Annotatsiya

In recent decades, European countries have developed a range of effective strategies and methodologies for teaching mathematics to primary school students. This article explores the core principles of these approaches, including competence-based instruction, early development of problem-solving skills, use of digital tools, and integration of mathematics with real-life contexts. By analyzing best practices from countries such as Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Estonia, the paper highlights the relevance of adapting these methods to improve primary mathematics education in other national contexts. The study offers insights into curriculum design, teacher training, classroom organization, and student motivation, aiming to support educational reforms that strengthen foundational numeracy and mathematical thinking in young learners.
