EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING AUTOMATED ANALYZERS IN GENERAL URINALYSIS

Annotatsiya

The article presents a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of an automated urine analyzer (Urit-2000) and the manual microscopy method in performing routine urinalysis at the Tashkent City Medical Consultation and Diagnostic Center. A total of 370 urine samples were examined during the study, of which 87 were analyzed only by the manual microscopic method and 283 using the automated analyzer. To determine the level of agreement between the two methods, 39 samples were examined in parallel using both techniques. To evaluate the reproducibility of the analyzer, 10 samples were each tested five times (a total of 50 measurements) using the automated analyzer. The results demonstrated that the automated analyzer provides rapid, standardized, and highly reproducible results. However, manual microscopy proved to be superior in detecting certain pathological urinary sediment elements, including casts, crystals, and atypical cells. In conclusion, the combined use of both methods is recommended in laboratory practice: the automated analyzer should be used for the screening stage, while manual microscopy should be applied to confirm pathological findings.
