Annotatsiya

This article provides a critical analysis of the institution of reconciliation in the criminal law of the Republic of Uzbekistan and substantiates the need for its conceptual modernization. The authors identify the main problem in the terminological and doctrinal inconsistency of substantive and procedural legislation, demonstrate that the lack of clear categorical restrictions creates the risk of excessive punitive measures, and justify the need for legislative stability, eliminating the need for constant adjustments, and the creation of a predictable restorative justice system based on a categorical approach.
