Annotatsiya

This article examines the activities of the press and mass media of the Uzbek population in Afghanistan during the second half of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century. The study analyzes the legal status of the Uzbek language, the development of the national press, and the role of newspapers and magazines such as Yulduz, Gurash, Islam Ovozi, Oydin, and Ezgu Tuygu. It highlights their contribution to preserving national identity, promoting the Uzbek language, and disseminating cultural heritage. The historical development of the Afghan Uzbek press and its significance in social and cultural life are also discussed.
