This article probes the ways in which everyday users—students, freelancers, migrants, and micro-entrepreneurs—deal with international banking English in specific financial contexts. It breaks down such core terms as IBAN, SWIFT/BIC, exchange rate, fee, value date, chargeback, and KYC/AML with easy-to-understand examples in money transfer, scholarship, shopping online, and exchanging currencies. Practical email/message samples help users give payment instructions and settle disputes. The article also warns against common pitfalls (e.g., confusing value date with booking date or fees with exchange spreads). Upon mastery, the terminology allows readers to confidently read bank statements, fill out forms, and deal with banks, financial literacy and global transaction know-how.
