Annotatsiya

This article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the verb tense category in the Russian language. The paper examines three main tense forms — present, past, and future tense — from the perspective of their grammatical characteristics, semantic functions, and pragmatic use in speech. Special attention is paid to the relationship between tense forms and verbal aspect, as well as the difficulties that arise when foreign learners acquire this category. The results of the study can be applied in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
