Annotatsiya
This thesis analyzes the impact of the ideological confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War on world politics. After World War II, the world became divided into two opposing blocs based on capitalist and socialist ideologies, leading to a bipolar international system. During this period, military-political alliances such as NATO and the Warsaw Pact were established, significantly increasing global tensions. The arms race, especially in the field of nuclear weapons, posed a serious threat to international security. The ideological struggle extended beyond military aspects and influenced economic, scientific, technological, and cultural spheres as well. The thesis also examines the effects of the Cold War on developing countries, regional conflicts, and the international diplomatic system, highlighting both its positive and negative consequences for global political development.
