This article discusses the artistic interpretation of the concept of personality in Said Ahmad’s short stories. The stories such as “Qorako‘z Majnun,” “Conversation with a Horse,” and “On the Roads Where Azrael Passed” are analyzed in terms of the representation of the individual’s inner world, historical memory, social pressure, and moral choice. The article substantiates how the spiritual and moral image of a person is revealed through artistic details, symbolic characters, conflict, portrait, and the individuality of speech. Furthermore, it is shown that the concept of personality in Said Ahmad’s stories is closely connected with humanism, national values, and the criterion of conscience.
