Annotatsiya

The article examines the genetic, functional, age-related, performative, musical, and poetic-compositional criteria used to classify children’s songs. It proposes a multilevel classification model for the comparative study of Karakalpak, Turkmen, and English children’s songs. The dominant function is regarded as the primary criterion, while performer–addressee relations, age group, degree of musicality, movement, composition, and poetic devices serve as specifying parameters. The study also substantiates an integrated method based on text, sound, melody, movement, and performance context.
