The article aims to analyse toponymy in England and the USA and reveal the historical, geographical, and cultural significance of agriculture in these regions. The use of Old English origins in place names indicates the long-standing agricultural practices that have shaped these areas for centuries. Geographical features, such as fields, meadows, and valleys, are highlighted in toponymy, emphasizing the importance of specific landscapes for farming. Cultural significance is also reflected in the naming of places after specific crops or agricultural activities. Regional variations exist due to differences in climate, geography, and cultural practices, with certain areas known for specific crops or agricultural traditions. The toponymy also reflects changes in agricultural practices and economic development over time, with names associated with trading centers or specific agricultural industries.
